World’s fastest mobile bed travels nearly 84 miles per hour

Online accommodation booking website Hotels.com partnered with a British race car driver to create the world’s fastest mobile bed.

Race car driver Tom Onslow-Cole drove the motorized mattress 83.8 miles per hour on a track at the Emirates Motor Sports Complex in Umm Al Quwain, United Arab Emirates, to claim the Guinness World Record.

“I was made-up to take the world’s fastest bed record with Hotels.com, it was an unforgettable experience and I hope it’ll stand the test of time – it’ll take some beating!” Onslow-Cole said.

Hotels.com constructed the bed to celebrate the launch of its new Middle East portal.

The previous record of 69 miles per hour was set in 2009 by Edd, China who also holds the record for the Fastest toilet (42.25 mph), Fastest office (87 mph) and Fastest garden shed (58.41 mph).
