Wedding guest astounded after receiving ‘no show invoice’ from the bride

A wedding guest was astounded after receiving a ‘no show invoice’ from a ‘petty’ bride after they missed her big day.

An image of the invoice was shared online, showing how the guest was charged £175 ($240) for the two seats that were left vacant at the reception.

The bill details what is being charged for with the title ‘no call, no show guest’, and the description reads ‘wedding reception dinner (no show), while the unit price is set as ‘120’ and the quantity is ‘2’.

After the image was shared on Reddit other users were quick to call the bride ‘petty’, adding that accepting a wedding invite isn’t a legally binding contract.

The notes section of the invoice reads: “This invoice is being sent to you because you confirmed seat(s) at the wedding reception during the Final Headcount.

“The amount above is the cost of your individual seats. Because you didn’t call or give us proper notice that you wouldn’t be in attendance, this amount is that you owe us for paying for your seat(s) in advance.

“You can pay via Zelle or PayPal. Please reach out to us and let us know which method of payment works for you. Thank you!”

The invoice, issued on August 18, was number ‘0000001’, so presumably all the other guests made it to the celebration.

After a picture of the invoice was shared on Reddit, other users were quick to slam the bride – labelling her ‘petty’ for her actions.
