Sudan

The conflict in Sudan between rival military forces continues despite the extension of a formal ceasefire agreement for an additional 72 hours.

The Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have accused each other of violating the ceasefire.

The violence has resulted in hundreds of fatalities and thousands of injuries since April 15.

The conflict has disrupted an internationally supported political transition aimed at establishing democratic government in Sudan.
