Soleimani’s daughter in Beirut, praises Hezbollah fighters

The daughter of recently killed Iranian general Qasem Soleimani praised Hezbollah fighters during a speech to supporters in the Beirut southern suburb.

Speaking in Arabic, Zeinab Soleimani said that the bravery of Hezbollah fighters in the country’s south was a source of inspiration to Iranian forces, pushing them to be more “daring.”

She was speaking during an event eulogizing her father that was organized by Hezbollah-affiliated women’s group.

Earlier this month, Zeinab Soleimnai said she was confident Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah would “avenge” her father’s death, during a Jan. 5 interview with the Hezbollah-affiliated television channel Al-Manar.

She said that by ordering the missile strike that killed Soleimani along and nine others on Jan. 3, U.S. President Donald Trump had shown he did not have the courage to meet the leader of Iran’s elite Quds Force face to face.

“Let the filthy Trump know that by killing my father, he will not erase his memory,” she said at the time.
