North Korea has accused the United States and South Korea of engaging in “nuclear blackmail” through their joint military drills. The state media KCNA reported on Friday that North Korea would take corresponding action against what it referred to as “warmongers’ madness.”

In recent months, North Korea has intensified its military activities, revealing designs for new, smaller nuclear warheads, conducting an intercontinental ballistic missile test capable of striking the US, and testing a nuclear-capable underwater attack drone.

Kim has emphasized the importance of advancing surveillance technology to enhance the country’s ability to strike targets during crises.
