No deaths reported in San Francisco mass shooting; nine victims injured, say US police

Several individuals were struck by gunfire during a mass shooting incident in San Francisco’s Mission District on Friday night, according to authorities. However, no fatalities were reported.

The San Francisco Police Department tweeted that there were nine shooting victims, all of whom are expected to survive their injuries.

Police stated that there was no ongoing threat and that the shooting appeared to be targeted and isolated.

The city’s Department of Emergency Management issued a tweet earlier, urging people to avoid the area of 24th Street and Treat Avenue.

According to KPIX-TV, police responded to the shooting shortly after 9 p.m.

The victims were transported to a hospital, but their conditions were not immediately known, as reported by KPIX-TV.
