Actress Melanie Griffith took to Instagram to honor her mother Tippi Hedren for her 87th birthday.

“My beautiful mother Tippi at 87! Dinner with her grandchildren photo by @jaydoubleyoujay #mymamarocks #mykidsaremylife #weareblessed,” Griffith captioned a photo of Hedren smiling and gazing at candles on a cake in a restaurant.

Hedren is best known for her roles in the classic movies The Birds and Marnie. Griffith is famous for her iconic film Working Girl.
