Hezbollah leader: The real battle is with the U.S

Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah said Friday that the real battle was with the U.S. government, stressing that the party’s stance on Palestine would not waver, speaking in a televised address to mark Al-Quds day.

“America wages wars in the region to strengthen Israel’s positions,” Nasrallah said, citing the wars in Iran and Yemen.

The Hezbollah leader warned that American pressure to disarm the resistance in Lebanon was only the first step.

“Later it will be demarcating the maritime border and resolving the disputed land border points in Israel’s favor,” he cautioned.

On the occasion of Al-Quds day, Nasrallah said Hezbollah’s stance on Palestine would not change and that Palestinians would return to their land.

“Palestine from the river to the sea is the property of the Palestinian people and they shall return to it,” Nasrallah said.

“Our stance on Palestine is religious and ethical, and therefore we cannot compromise on it,” Nasrallah added, calling it an “uncompromising ideological position.”

He stressed that Palestine belonged to the Palestinian people, to the current and future Palestinian generations alike, adding that “no one can compromise on their behalf.”
