Eleven people, including two critically, were shot in Lakeland, Florida after a four-door sedan pulled up near an intersection and opened fire.

The incident took place in a central Florida city, just a minute after a school bus dropped off children in the area.

Lakeland Police Chief Sammy Taylor described the neighborhood as “challenged,” and said the police had focused significant attention on the area in recent years.

The victims were males between the ages of 20 and 35. Authorities believe the shooting was a targeted attack, related to drug sales that were taking place in the area. A $5,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspects.

Police plan to run lab tests on a vehicle they believe was involved in the shooting, which they found in a Lakeland neighborhood.
