Following the untimely death of iconic singer Sinead O’Connor, her management company, 67 Management, disclosed that she was in the process of finalizing a new album and exploring the possibility of a film adaptation of her book. The 56-year-old singer was found unresponsive at her home in south London on Wednesday, prompting a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
In a heartfelt statement, 67 Management expressed gratitude to those who worked with Sinead and revealed that she was actively reviewing tour dates for the upcoming year. The company also acknowledged the remarkable plans she had for her music and the potential movie project based on her memoir, “Rememberings,” which was highly praised for its uniqueness and insight.
As tributes continue to pour in for the Dublin-born star, the Samuel Beckett Bridge in the city was illuminated with lyrics from her hit song “Nothing Compares 2 U.” Meanwhile, hundreds of people gathered at the London Irish Centre to celebrate her life, and people in Dublin paid their respects outside the Wall of Fame, where several books of condolences have been opened.

Notably, Sinead O’Connor’s conversion to Islam in 2018 brought her closer to the religion, prompting her to change her name to Shuhada’ Davitt, later Shuhada Sadaqat. An Islamic scholar, Shaykh Dr Umar al Qadri, commended her as a great representative of Islam, acknowledging their interactions since her conversion.
